Mission: Readiness
Mission: Readiness
About
Mission: Readiness, a membership organization of Council for a Strong America, is a group of more than 800 retired admirals and generals strengthening national security by ensuring kids stay in school, stay fit, and stay out of trouble. As an intentionally bipartisan organization, Mission: Readiness works strategically with lawmakers at the state and federal levels to advocate for evidence-based policies and investments that address the root causes that prevent 77% of 17- to 24-year-olds nationwide from being eligible to serve in the military. This advocacy work includes early childhood care and education, child nutrition programs like the National School Lunch Program, WIC, and SNAP, physical activity, and emerging focus areas like student mental health. Our members see the urgency to address issues impacting children from an early age, and are proud to serve as unexpected messengers on behalf of America’s youth.
