Roasted Root Vegetables It's harvest time which means serving roasted root vegetables is a great way to incorporate seasonal and locally grown foods while introducing new flavors. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Wash, peel, and make 1" chunks from an assortment of root vegetables such as carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, parsnips and turnips. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle just a bit of olive oil over the vegetables and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for about 40 minutes. |
Employee Retention Credit If your child care home, center, or sponsoring organization did not apply for the Payroll Protection Program AND you faced a significant decline in gross receipts (less than 50% of gross receipts for the same quarter in 2019) you may be eligible for the Employee Retention Tax Credit which is 50% of up to $10,000 in qualified wages paid to an employee through December 2020. |

The Senate has yet to vote on a second bill that would provide this desperately needed relief. Together we have sent over 150,000 letters urging action. The NCA Board of Directors continue to share your story with letters to leadership and calls to Senate offices seeking aid. |
