NCA Board Election Results

The National CACFP Sponsors Association Board of Directors elections welcomed the addition of Kate Abernathy, as well as the re-election of Denise Andrews, Rhonda Kobylecky and Alix Pasillas, to a three-year term. Additionally, Beth Carlton and Sarah McAleavy were appointed by the Board to fill a pair of vacancies through September 2025. The Board also named its Executive Board, with Kobylecky serving as the Chair for the year, Andrews as the Chair-Elect, Pasillas as the Treasurer, and Gabriela Rangel as the Secretary.

USDA Released Updated Guidance on Feeding Infants

New guidance was recently released by USDA that includes information such as updated breastmilk storage recommendations, infant formula food safety considerations, and information on crediting grains in ounce equivalents. This guidance also includes a Question and Answer section with examples of best practices for the infant meal pattern.
