Did you know that March 9 is National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day? We would like to thank all the RDNs who help administer the CACFP and provide education on healthy, nutritious food choices. Keep reading for some more resources that can help you keep up with best practices.

Go, Slow, Whoa


Grouping foods into three categories can also be a useful way to ensure that you're serving a balanced diet. Check out our "Go, Slow, Whoa" worksheet that breaks down some common food items based on how often they should be eaten.

Meatballs and Marinara


March 9 is also National Meatball Day. Try out this recipe from USDA Team Nutrition, which provides 1.5 oz meat and 1/4 cup vegetable. With lean ground beef, brown rice and marinara sauce, this recipe is a "go."
