We're celebrating National CACFP Week through Saturday, March 20, and invite you to join in! Take our social media challenge, share your story, write a letter to Congress, or download activity pages to share with those in your care. Help spread the word about all that the CACFP does to combat hunger.



CDC Updates Guidance for Child Care Providers During COVID-19

On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the updated Guidance for Operating Child Care Programs during COVID-19 as well as a new toolkit for child care programs. These resources provide information to help child care professionals protect children, their families and staff, and slow the spread of COVID-19.




USDA Extends Free Meals to Children Through Summer 2021

Last Tuesday, USDA announced the nationwide extension of several waivers that allow all children to continue to receive nutritious meals this summer when schools are out of session. These flexibilities are now available through Sept. 30, 2021. Please note that waivers for CACFP have not yet been extended.



Crediting Store-Bought Combination Baby Foods in CACFP

Don't forget to register for USDA's next Thirty on Thursday Webinar. It will show CACFP operators how to identify store-bought combination baby foods that can be served as part of reimbursable meals and snacks to infants.
