Chicken and Cheese Snack Cup


This #CACFPCreditable snack cup is the perfect on-the-go option for outdoor snacking on the Fourth of July! Share this simple recipe with parents and guardians. Simply take a 6 fl oz. cup or sealable container and layer the bottom with 1 tbsp of rotisserie chicken and 1 tbsp of Colby cheese, both diced to 1/4". Then, top with 1/2 cup of sliced grapes.



Keep Kids Fed Act


On Saturday, June 25, 2022, President Biden signed into law the “Keep Kids Fed Act of 2022,” which extends certain flexibilities for child nutrition programs and provides temporary increases in reimbursement rates for school meals and meals provided in CACFP. Thank you to Senators Debbie Stabenow and John Boozman and Representatives Bobby Scott and Virginia Foxx for their leadership and to all members of Congress who supported this legislation.

Collection of Racial and Ethnic Data


USDA has released a Q&A to address the collection of racial and ethnic data. State agencies and program operators may not collect racial or ethnic data simply by looking at participants. Instead, State agencies and program operators should use methods that are based on self-identification and self-reporting. A best practice for this would be obtaining the information from parents or guardians or adult participants.
