Eat Your Vegetables!

June 17 is National Eat Your Vegetables Day, but vegetables are an important part of the CACFP meal pattern every day. Check out some of our resources to get children excited about eating their vegetables, including a recipe for Sour Cucumber Bites. As a bonus, you can serve them on June 14 for National Cucumber Day!

New Tip Sheet from USDA

USDA Food and Nutrition Service completed its Crediting Tip Sheet series with the release of three new resources on grains. The first sheet in the series is on what constitutes a creditable grain in child nutrition programs.

Join USDA Tomorrow for an SFSP Listening Session

USDA wants to hear from the SFSP community! Last December, Congress established a permanent option to serve non-congregate summer meals in rural areas. Therefore, USDA invites SFSP operators to participate in a webinar to provide feedback on successful implementation of non-congregate summer meal service in rural communities.
