CACFP Creditable Snack Suggestions

Fruit salsa and pita chips

USDA Updates: Meal Pattern Extension and Q&As

The Meal Pattern flexibility waiver allows for flexibility in the meal pattern for institutions experiencing challenges with food availability. Allowable flexibilities have been extended until May 31, 2020.

USDA has also published a new memo addressing Q&As. Check with your state agency for additional guidance.



CACFP Weekly Menu Template

Providers are having to be responsive in their menu planning to make do with foods they can source. That means cycle menus are out for now. Use this weekly menu template that lists meal pattern minimum requirements to keep track of what you are serving to help ensure reimbursement.

Responding to COVID:
Monadnock Adult Day Program

We are using our buses every Wednesday to deliver Food Pantry Boxes to folks in the Monadnocjk region of New Hampshire. We deliver between 50-70 boxes a week. Many of the recipients are members of our program. It has been an emotional experience for everyone but the delight that we bring with our deliveries has been inspirational.  ~ Chris Selmer
