NFSN, ASPHN Farm to ECE, Nemours, and the National CACFP Association are co-hosting a virtual coffee chat to explore connections between the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans and farm to ECE activities. This informal conversation will highlight how Farm to ECE strategies (i.e. serving local foods, gardening, and nutrition education) can support healthy eating patterns and early childhood development. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn key highlights from the DGA, share experiences, and discuss practical ways to align Farm to ECE efforts with nutrition recommendations in early care settings. Above all, this will serve as space for connection and community around this topic area.
