Encourage Children to Try New Foods

Get valuable ideas on how you can help toddlers develop self-feeding skills and healthy eating patterns with this short, informative video from USDA Team Nutrition.

Strawberry Yogurt Parfait

Friday is National Strawberry Parfait Day. It's no surprise that parfait is also the French word for "perfect," as this quick and easy treat is a perfect #CACFPCreditable snack.

Let each child build their own parfait with 1/4 cup of strawberry Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup strawberries. Starting with the yogurt, alternate layering the two ingredients. If desired, add a tablespoon of granola on top for a little crunch. Remember to make sure your yogurt is below the CACFP sugar limit.
