July 21-27 is National Zookeeper Week! Try out our #CACFPCreditable Build-a-Bear pancake recipe for an animal-themed recipe to celebrate. This recipe features peanut butter as the meat/meat alternate component. As a reminder, nut and seed butters can be used to credit for the full meat/meat alternate component at any meal or snack. As of July 1, nuts and seeds themselves may also credit for the entire meat/meat alternate component, removing the 50 percent crediting limit for breakfast, lunch and supper.
We know it can be hard to keep up with all of the new policy, guidance, and research coming out for the CACFP. That's why we've gathered all of the recent updates in one place for you.
